Here is a recent email received from a kind lady just out for a drive one day when she saw our Showcase Sales Model, The Emerson::
"Good morning Blue Ridge Log Homes!
Thank you for letting me know the story about the home that “called my name.” Sounds like it is created with tender loving care. Perhaps that is why it “beams” so brightly as it sits proudly on the roadside. I plan to come that way again before Christmas and I’d love to come inside and soak it up in my soul.
I’m a real estate broker in Richmond and I write as well. This morning after reading your email I got inspired to write an essay about my experience and how the right home always “speaks”. I’ve coached my clients this way for years…to buy a home that they love…the one that pulls at their heart strings. Who knows, I may be able to get it published in a “home” magazine. I’m also inspired to see how else I might share the best kept secret in Shenandoah with our Richmond clientele here. My business is unique in that I only represent homebuyers and do not list property. But I’ll bet there are log cabin lovers everywhere. They may not know it until they see it and it calls out to them like yours did for me. I’ll let you know what I come up with. I’d love to help more owners get back to soulful living.
So many homes today look gorgeous on the outside, but feel like a cave on the inside. The homes do not have a soul or emit a feeling of warmth, if you know what I mean. They feel hollow inside. In times like these especially, we all need a house of belonging, somewhere that is our safe haven from the cares of the world. A place to make happy memories and create living happily everafter. The Emerson made me feel like that.
So I’ll put on my thinking cap and see what I come up with. It’s interesting that a month ago I started walking near the River. The dose of nature was so soothing to my mind, body and soul. After each round, I’d sit on the bench by the river and just soak it all up. One morning I got to thinking about how life would be if I could “simplify” and strip away the noise and do what I love to do most…write and my women’s ministry. I thought about getting a red flannel shirt and trying it on for size and I thought about what life would feel like living by the river in a log cabin. And then viola…I ride by and see your gorgeous model. Maybe life is speaking to me. I don’t believe anything is a coincidence! Feel free to use my comments on the web site. I’ll be by before the year is out and I’ll call first.
Thank-you Gary for putting a little slice of heaven right here on earth…right in plain view for all of us to see and enjoy!"
